JESUS Christ said as written in New Living Translation "At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name." (https://biblehub.com/john/16-23.htm).

The Lord JESUS Christ gives 2 available Levels pertaining to the above verse. There is the Christian Lower Level such as for the anewly Baptized and the Ascending in local Churches, though for the More Faithful [now, and later for All] is the Higher Level that Preach not merely to those in a separate local Church as rather for All Who Broadcast For All To "Awaken All Their Souls" (ibid.) hence starting with Leadership.

On TV Pastor Matthew Hagee explained the Christian Lower Level gesturing with going back and forth and saying JESUS Christ [interprets and] goes from a Soul to His Father and back to the Soul (as in recent Sermons such as "In a little while you will see Me no more, and then after a little while you will see Me" at http://0www.20m.com/index.html).

JESUS Christ in the above verse John 16:23 explains the New You interacting "directly" in Higher Level with the Spirit Father JESUS Christ smile. JESUS Christ said this after the previous 3 verses telling of this "joy" in each verse, hence You are with Wisdom to "rejoice" (https://biblehub.com/john/16.htm).

"It marks a new era in the relationship between God and believers, where direct access to the Father is granted through Jesus Christ." (https://biblehub.com/john/16-23.htm commentary). 

And Your directly interfacing with the Father Will Fulfill JESUS Christ's Prophecy of Joy such as JESUS Christ stated in John 16:22 Berean Standard Bible "So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy" and worth repeating "no one will take away your joy."!

Though be anxious in Desperate Love for All Their Sakes lest there be "great tribulation" (https://biblehub.com/topical/t/tribulation.htm)! JESUS Christ said this as written

"Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey. When the harvest time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his share of the fruit. But the tenants seized his servants. They beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. Again, he sent other servants, more than the first group. But the tenants did the same to them. Finally, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said. But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Hence we are to Not be as purgatory, nor wordly nor merely secular, and we are not to remain merely as the splinters of denominations with individual Churches levels that in many cases have been too self focused. Symbolically a local type traditional Church might be concerned in a meeting after Mass Service about raising funds to fix their plumbing so might consider an attic sale

[wonderful, thank you, though this point is rather for the Father's Perspective!].

So the point is to rather than be about selfish promotion nor a small group's betterment, is to be of Good Service Availability for the Father Of The Universe and all the created including those groups such as near the stars out there where not seen, and the others in other Spirit levels and for to best guide the others not yet realized for the Best For All.

Humility, be humble:

At the start of the creation at the start of the Word, there was the Plan to create Good Higher Value Joy, hence if all was One God JESUS Christ Spirit at the start, then like unto an egg or a cell that divides and reproduces, so at the start there was [counted in lower levels as though splitting, counted as if sin, counted as strayed (https://biblehub.com/psalms/109-7.htm)] from 1 to become 2, hence there are concerns such as to miss and pine for one another.

Also rather there is this humility factor, that if Father and Son are interfacing, for one of the two to humble the self, then relatively the other is Raised In Glory!

Hence a Creation Plan Miracle!

As written "He must increase; I must decrease." (https://biblehub.com/bsb/john/3.htm).

Likewise is this Miracle of Level Upon Level such as the Lifted Up Heavenly Level as written

"The One who comes from above is above all. The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth. The One who comes from heaven is above all." (https://biblehub.com/bsb/john/3.htm).

So this Flow explains JESUS Christ Exemplar's pertinent verse that He suffered to be humbly as written "For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor." (https://biblehub.com/psalms/8-5.htm).

As written "Jesus Like His Brothers
…7You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor 8and placed everything under his feet.” When God subjected all things to him, He left nothing outside of his control. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. 9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone (https://biblehub.com/hebrews/2-8.htm).
