JESUS Christ's time had not yet come, nonetheless bravely Faithfully Nicodemus was publicly defending JESUS Christ, asking as written in
John 7:51 New Living Translation " 'Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?' he asked".
JESUS Christ had explained His time had not yet come. So Defender Nicodemus with saying "before" [a time consideration (precept on precept https://biblehub.com/isaiah/28-10.htm)]
proved what JESUS Christ had said in John 7:6, 7 and 8 [bold font added]:
"Therefore Jesus told them, “Although your time is always at hand, My time has not yet come. The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify that its works are evil.
