JESUS Christ had taught in the previous Sermon verse, with convincing power having caused many to believe in Him (http://0www.20m.com/jesusjohn8:30.html) sufficient for this Higher Level next verse as written in
John 8:31 New Living Translation "Jesus said to the people who believed in him, 'You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings' " (https://biblehub.com/john/8-31.htm).
John 8:31 Formula "Jesus said to the people who believed in him," = " 'You are truly my disciples' " x " 'if you remain faithful to my teachings' ".
"Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” " (Matthew 4:19).

On TV many have said that some things can transform such as a person into a critter. The above Biblically exposes such to be with a factual amount [many other assumptions have also been proffered on TV (see above half "logic" "divided mind" discussion).
