JESUS Christ told the multitude plainly in the previous Sermon "I do not have a demon. On the contrary, I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me" (http://0www.20m.com/jesusjohn8:49.html), and JESUS continued answering their negativity as written in
John 8:50 Mace New Testament "I do not consult my own glory: there is one that will consult that, and judge accordingly.",
{and [with other translations, likewise is translated in Weymouth New Testament "I, however, am not aiming at glory for myself: there is One who aims at glory for me--and who judges." [sic]} (https://biblehub.com/john/8-50.htm).
John 8:50 with negativity (see in this Series about "negatives") Triadic Formula "I do not consult my own glory:" = "there is one" x "that will consult that, and judge accordingly.".
The "one" is the JESUS Christ With His Christians As Much As In The Spirit Father; while "I do not consult my own glory" refers to merely about the census vessel of JESUS Christ as advised for All (as a minimum see above "Definitions" link to "Maintenance"). And "not aiming" should rather refer to rather Centerline Ascending though https://biblehub.com/matthew/18-12.htm may apply.
Grade school taught students to not copy exam answers from others nor to similarly ask [save when appropriate], and rather consult with the Teacher. A driver might stop and ask a person for directions, but reasonably would not ask what the gas pedal does nor what the brake pedal does nor similar about how to drive the vehicle [see the previous Sermon on "Graduating" and about "start" and "rate" and concerning "glory" how the Birth Of JESUS "made the hills" come "alive" (http://0www.20m.com/jesusjohn8:49.html), and fittingly
JESUS Christ also gave a pertinent response in Luke 5:34 "Can you compel the bridal party to fast," replied Jesus, "so long as they have the bridegroom among them?" (https://biblehub.com/luke/5-34.htm).
JESUS Christ's Grace With Moral Principles Of Faith exists in Higher Level and More Important Priority than Law, that is Higher Level than as much as under the Law in secular level, that is Higher Level than worldly of little faith that opt to stray against the Law, that is Higher Level than critters, and such in reverse priorities descendingly.
Measuring Higher Level than Grace is like unto writers of the Law [such as Representatives and such as a Manufacturer's car instructions about the "brake"] [Best For All Morally and Legally].
For people, no temptation comes except as much as is normal to people, and for [You and for] any individual JESUS Christ "will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear" (https://biblehub.com/1_corinthians/10-13.htm).
So JESUS Christ's response in the above should have been unnecessary, so rather than repeat is His Centerline Ascending Invitation. Though "normal to people" applies to Body Members such as Christians, so as is "normal to people" Christians too make mistakes, even though with the above stated Priorities List. It is like a local Church's Usher aware of many Members' names and experienced to recognize a first time Visitor and so to specially assist, while a novice Usher might not so remember nor "recognize" so typically such incidents would be mistakes.
JESUS Christ likewise concerning what is "normal to people" as stated above, will not let You be overly embarrassed such as if You opt to be "Broadcasting" "JESUS Christ UN 5 Pennies Law With System minus mines" (previous Sermon at http://0www.20m.com/jesusjohn8:49.html) even though the amount against You might be more in a situation or less in a situation, than what another Person might receive.
