JESUS Christ was aware the accusers were merely saying things to "trap" Him for "court before which the charge they desired to formulate it might be brought" and to be "tempting" Him and to "discredit" Him as some translations and Commentaries rightly assert, as written in
John 8:6 Berean Literal Bible "Now they were saying this testing Him, so that they might have grounds to accuse Him. John 8:6 Formula: "Now they were saying this testing Him, so that they might have grounds to accuse Him." = "But Jesus, having stooped down, began writing with His finger" x "on the ground".

You can likewise Ascend, yet not merely You, as You With Good can Ascend. As much as Centerline Good can Ascend. "Centerline" meaning straight in and through JESUS Christ's Words as explained above. For instance Moses brought the Law and it was Good relative to lawlessness, and yet as in John 1:17 Good News Translation "God gave the Law through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ" (https://biblehub.com/catholic/john/1-17.htm).
So from the "Good" secular Law level [that persecuted the guilty], the "Good" Ascended to Higher Level Higher Value Good in the "Faithfully" Ascending. Grace, such as the right to write new Laws such as manufacturers' instructions can do, are more specific more about state of the art and are more Lively (Higher Level "Grace"). Though if any strayed from Centerline per se then about writing illegal laws. Hence to be innocent is as with the Flow as with Parts A, B, and C; in the Name and Spirit of JESUS Christ.
