JESUS Christ in the previous Sermon said to the people who believed in him, 'You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings' ", so JESUS answered with this next verse as written in

John 8:32 Literal Emphasis Translation "And you will know the truth and the truth will liberate you" (https://biblehub.com/parallel/john/8-32.htm)

and "liberate" is properly stated though many translations did not properly distinguish having said "free" (https://biblehub.com/john/8-32.htm) as explained in this JESUS Christ ICCDBB Sermons Series, for instance to be "free" means such as to blaspheme and fight and murder and pillage as in war as if no laws and no moral principles, yet in Higher Level if to be with "liberate" it does not mean illegal nor immoral.

"What does liberate mean in the Bible? God's desire is to increasingly liberate believers from bondage to their flesh, ungodly thinking and worldly living." (Google: The Transformed Soul).

Liberate and liberty are more conditional than free and freedom [to do anything]: "liberty (n.) late 14c., "free choice, freedom to do as one chooses," also "freedom from the bondage of sin," (Etymonline) and this makes more sense in JESUS Christ's next verse tomorrow, and note "freedom to do as one chooses," is for instance not about being a drunk driver nor on medicine that causes excessive drowsiness since such would interfere against choice "as one chooses" hence not able to choose (also reference such as onotomic knee jerk reactions such as an automatic response to a sudden attack).

Also reference such as written in Psalm 119:45 New King James Version "And I will walk at liberty, For I seek Your precepts".

Liberty is more of a legal term and in more legally specific and is tied to continuing respect for Moral Principles and Law more specifically than freedom. Liberty speaks of [Centerline] Ascending: "Liberty under law is the full range of conduct an individual is free to pursue" (AI Overview), while freedom historically has often been more associated with careless fun.

"Freedom from confinement is one aspect of the liberty interest"..."nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" (toward the start of the JESUS Christ USA Fourteenth Amendment) [bold font added].

 John 8:32 Formula "And you will know the truth" = "and the truth" x "will liberate you".

The "truth will liberate you", rather better stated is: His "truth will liberate you", the truth as innocent moral JESUS Christ tells it.

JESUS Christ Spirit explained in the previous Sermon that the opposite of Good logic, if opted, would not be All logic but would be 1/2 of all logic, and the lower level as the Sermon stated about "critters" as their "mind" "doesn't know the Law" (http://0www.20m.com/jesusjohn8:31.html), much less the Higher Level Best For All Moral Principles Of Faith.

JESUS Christ Offers Himself the Good (https://biblehub.com/matthew/19-17.htm with https://biblehub.com/john/10-30.htm and the above "You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings"), the 7th Seal, as written in Revelation 8:1 New International Version "When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour". Faith comes from Hearing, so in worldly cliche there is a deadline: "silence".

JESUS Christ's Faithful opt the Good half of Logic [though aware of more such as on TV, allowing redeeming social value and each Soul's threshold of whether to be tempted by something or above such]

so His Faithful in having opted the Good half of Logic [and more awareness] Ascends through the "silence" Firmament and with "more" hence about All Knowing (see "Context" at https://biblehub.com/matthew/15-17.htm).

JESUS Christ's 3 Original Plan pertinent levels for All to consider are

A. the Good part of Logic often as has been called [Good] Wisdom [until more recent years in the secular],

B. the flip-of-coin secular (see above "TV" for instance), and

C. the opted to fall from Grace and Law, to be lower level under Grace and Law such as confused, "critters" level, or lower.

So You as You opt in the census now are with awareness of such as A. Eternal Reward, or B. repeat until "A" or "C", or C. not merely falling yet also facing Your "deadline" like unto concrete that sets. "C" is not a way to get out of life even if counted as such in the census (reference the Bible and so many TV shows about ghosts of people): suicide does not end life. as written in John 1:5 New International Version "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it".
