JESUS Christ in the previous Sermon said to the people "the truth will liberate you" and their response was as written in

John 8:33 New King James Version "They answered Him, 'We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?' ” (https://biblehub.com/john/8-33.htm) ("free" rather "liberty" http://0www.20m.com/jesusjohn8:32.html),

and "bondage" from the Greek word "δεδουλε%u03CDκαμεν" means "we earned" (https://translate.google.com/?sl=el&tl=en&text=%CE%B4%CE%B5%CE%B4%CE%BF%CF%85%CE%BB%CE%B5%CF%8D%CE%BA%CE%B1%CE%BC%CE%B5%CE%BD&op=translate) as if able to accomplish on their own [without JESUS]

many similarly interpreted "bondage" to mean "slaves". Many long ago looked more toward lowest level translations, more in the old 1st Testament than in such as the 3rd Testament [highlighted pages (ibid.)].

15 "Behold, do men light a candle and put it under a bushel? Nay, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light to all that are in the house;",

16 "Therefore let your light so shine before this people, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.".

So the "bushel" symbolizes the self imposed "bondage", the lack of "Broadcasting"...for to participate in making this civilization Worthy for JESUS Christ Uplifting.

JESUS Christ Spirit Guided the above statement "Many long ago looked more toward lowest level translations" and not until after listing these 3 verses 14, 15, and 16, did it become realized of this typist that the "under a bushel" also fits since it is hardly about enlightening nor seeing the Higher Levels nor Ascending, but as self opted guided toward the opposite.

And fittingly in verse 2 "And again, more blessed are they who shall believe in your words because that ye shall testify that ye have seen me, and that ye know that I am. Yea, blessed are they who shall believe in your words, and come down into the depths of humility and be baptized, for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and shall receive a remission of their sins." And fittingly in 3 Nephi 11:36 "And thus will the Father bear record of me, and the Holy Ghost will bear record unto him of the Father and me; for the Father, and I, and the Holy Ghost are one.". And "one" fits as written in

Luke 18:19 "So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.".

Now watch this Power in the "faith" of a Faithful Blind Person, as the "faith" continues through from the "faith" start Level through the Miracle Level and Continuing After The Miracle, as written in

Luke 19:42 "saying, 'If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.' ", and as written in

Luke 18:42 and 43 "Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God." (https://biblehub.com/luke/19-42.htm).

So the Anewly Seeing formerly blind Person after the Miracle "gave praise" also translated as "glorifying" ["God"] JESUS Christ "one" as stated above, and these Higher Level Gracious words are like unto saying "Thanks" and "Thank You", yet in typically Higher Level Grace.
